PONTIAC, Mich. - Michimich -- The Pontiac Creative Arts Center will host Michigan's first Ugly Sweater Art Exhibit, Auction, and Runway Show called "JINGLE". This exclusively curated collection will be auctioned off to support the Art Center's future exhibits, classes and workshops. Be part of the exhibit by wearing your ugly sweater.
Coming off the last two years of being voted WDIV's best gallery to visit in Metro Detroit, Patrizia Makohon, (Gallery and Exhibitions Director) has gathered over 70 pieces for the exhibit. "I have worked with Andrew Lathrup, (Artist and Vice President of the Board) to secure and curate this unique collection of Ugly Christmas Sweaters. Every piece pushes, explores, and questions the aesthetic of what is considered ugly, absurd, and humorous, but also has artistic expression. We want this exhibit to be different than those in the past while still maintaining the spirit of an art exhibition."
