DETROIT - Michimich -- BUF is holding its 49th Anniversary Benefit Gala on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at the MGM Grand Detroit. The program will showcase students to amplify the importance of engaging youth.  Tickets are available for $100 and may be purchased at www.bufmi.org

BUF of Michigan is committed to supporting, developing, and implementing impactful youth empowerment programs through collaborative partnerships for underserved, underrepresented in the community.  BUF of Michigan's innovative initiative titled E.Y.E.S. (Empowering Youth for Everyday Success) addresses the need to support children and youth with STEM focused educational resources that help them succeed academically, financially and socially.

The 49th Gala for the first time will be led by empowered young people. A special appearance will be made by the Detroit Youth Choir fresh from America's Got Talent.

BUF has great support from platinum Level Sponsor Magna International. In addition, special recognition will be given to Vinnie Johnson, former Detroit Piston and Chairman and CEO of the Piston Group, who will be given the BUF Rayford Award for his outstanding support to the community.
