DETROIT, Oct. 30, 2023 ~ Canopy, a smart vehicle security startup, has launched its first product, Canopy Pickup Cam, which is now available nationwide via their e-commerce site. The Pickup Cam is a connected security camera for pickup trucks, designed to provide real-time truck bed monitoring when the vehicle is parked and the owner is away.

In response to an increasing number of tradespeople and truck owners losing valuable tools, equipment, and gear to theft, Canopy was created to provide a solution. To optimize their product debut, Canopy recently concluded a 4-week rigorous and comprehensive beta testing pilot conducted with close to 100 truck owners across the country. In addition to launching their first product today, Canopy also announced two partnerships with Ambarella Inc., an edge AI semiconductor company, as well as Upstream Security – the leading provider of cybersecurity detection and response platform for the mobility and transportation industry. The Pickup Cam uses Ambarella's CV25AI computer vision system-on-chip (SoC) to detect threats such as reach-ins and tampering while reducing false alerts for truck owners. Upstream's unique detection and response platform provides protection against cyber threats while ensuring Canopy delivers an innovative and agile product to customers.

The Canopy Pickup Cam retails for $299 with a subscription of $14.99 per month which allows users access anywhere their vehicle is located at any time as well as secure cloud storage for data, real-time alerts, 4G LTE connectivity and access to future software updates and new feature rollouts.
