DETROIT, Sept. 2, 2025 ~ Detroit, MI - Comerica Bank and Jackets for Jobs have joined forces to host a two-day Homecoming Dress Giveaway boutique for metro Detroit students. The event will take place on Saturday, Sept. 13 and Sunday, Sept. 14 at the Samaritan Center on Conner St.
Hundreds of new and gently used dresses will be available at the pop-up boutique, sourced from Comerica Bank's seventh annual Prom Dress Drive held earlier this year. The drive collected eveningwear donations from the community to benefit local teens who may not have been able to afford formal attire for prom.
Steve Davis, Comerica Bank Michigan Market President, expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support from customers, colleagues, and neighbors during the Prom Dress Drive. "Thanks to the generosity of our community, we are thrilled to open an additional boutique just in time for Homecoming season," he said.
The Homecoming Dress Giveaway is about more than just providing a dress; it's about helping students feel confident and supported during a memorable moment in their lives. Alison Vaughn, Founder and CEO of Jackets for Jobs, emphasized the impact of the community's support in making this possible. "For the second year in a row, our partnership with Comerica Bank will make Homecoming dreams come true for teens by removing financial barriers and creating unforgettable experiences," she said.
