ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Michimich -- When's the last time you updated your software?
Technology evolves fast and ignoring updates exposes data to security risks, hurts performance, and will leave you scrambling after support for your software ends.
Network Services Group (NSG) is a computer service in Ann Arbor ready to help you upgrade your business update hardware, software, cybersecurity, or web hosting!
Here's why NSG recommends updating your website no later than 2025:
Microsoft is Ending Support for Windows 10 in Fall of 2025
Windows 10 will end it's support on October 14, 2025. The current version is the final version, and all editions will remain in support with monthly security updates until then.
With the risk of cybersecurity threats evolving, it's not wise to run unsupported software. It's important to know many older computers aren't compatible with Windows 11 so upgrading systems may involve purchasing a new computer. If you need help with these updates, or finding a new computer that will accommodate Windows 11, call NSG!
Intuit Will Stop Selling New Licenses for QuickBooks by End of July 2024
Intuit announced that after July 31, 2024 they will no longer sell new subscriptions of the following products to U.S. subscribers: QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus, QuickBooks Desktop Premier Plus, and QuickBooks Desktop Mac Plus.
More on Michimich.com
Instead, they're encouraging subscribers to switch to QuickBooks Online. Many users shared that the online version is completely different and not as user friendly as the desktop version.
Existing customers will not be impacted by the change, which is why NSG strongly encourages you purchase or update the desktop version before the end of the month. This ensures you're using an active, supported version because you'll continue receiving the latest security patches and updates.
