DETROIT - Michimich -- The Detroit Executives Association (https://www.detroitexecs.com/) (DEA), a nearly 100 year old networking group of metro Detroit business owners and top executives, will host its annual Executive of the Year event at the historic Detroit Athletic Club (DAC) honoring Michigan and the nation's first Chief Growth Officer, Hilary Doe.
Appointed by Governor Gretchen Whitmer in 2023, Doe spent two years on the front lines leading the most ambitious population growth effort in state history. She blazed a trail for talent retention and attraction, marketing, and economic growth in Michigan. During that time, Hilary and her team achieved remarkable results including growth in 66-percent of Michigan counties, the rapid acceleration of young adults moving to Michigan, and the launch of impactful talent retention and attraction initiatives. Today, Hilary is leading a new, nonpartisan growth initiative she founded called the Michigan Institute for Growth and Opportunity, or MI-GO.

"She has done such amazing work for the state of Michigan and continues to be a thought leader and an innovator tackling one of the most critical issues we need to address to ensure our state's bright future. We are so excited to honor her as our Executive of the Year."
This year's event will be held Thursday, November 20, beginning at 11:30 a.m. followed by lunch at 12:15 p.m. during which Doe will give a speech.
