DETROIT, Sept. 25, 2024 ~ The Detroit Pistons, a well-known NBA team in the region, has announced a new partnership with Detroit-based online marketplace leader StockX. The multi-year corporate partnership will see StockX become the franchise's new jersey partner, with their logo prominently featured on the team's jerseys starting from the 2024-25 season.
According to Pistons Vice Chairman Arn Tellem, this partnership goes beyond a typical jersey patch sponsorship. He expressed excitement about collaborating with StockX on off-the-court initiatives that align with both organizations' commitment to making a positive impact in the Detroit community and beyond.
StockX Co-founder, President and COO Greg Schwartz also shared his enthusiasm for the partnership, describing it as a win-win for the city and two of its most iconic brands. He believes that by combining their love for basketball and passion for current culture, they can engage and connect with their customers in a unique way.
The jersey partnership will not only help StockX reach local fans but also national and international fans who follow the NBA and the Detroit Pistons. The brand will receive exposure through various media platforms such as Bally Sports Detroit, 97.1 FM The Ticket, and the Pistons Radio Network. They will also be featured on television and radio broadcast advertisements, digital signage inside Little Caesars Arena, and on one of four special bobblehead nights during the 2024-25 season.

What sets this partnership apart from others is its collaboration with Pensole Lewis College of Business and Design. The Pistons and StockX will work together to provide programming opportunities for students to engage with both brands. Additionally, StockX will be designated as the presenting partner of Pistons arena walk-in social media content posts, participate in their "Community Give-Back Event," and be featured on the home court of their G League affiliate, Motor City Cruise.
To celebrate this exciting announcement, StockX and the Detroit Pistons are hosting a community event called 'Detroit Kickback.' The event will feature appearances by Pistons guard Cade Cunningham, Detroit native and GRAMMY-nominated artist Big Sean, Pistons Legend Lindsey Hunter, and former NBA player Jalen Rose. It will be held at Detroit's Campus Martius Park and is free and open to the public.
The Pistons worked with international sports marketing agency Two Circles during the partnership process to ensure its success.
This partnership between two iconic Detroit brands is a testament to their commitment to the city and its community. With StockX's logo now proudly displayed on the Pistons' jerseys, fans can look forward to seeing how this collaboration will bring together sports, fashion, and culture in a positive way.
