HUDSON, Ohio, Jan. 16, 2024 ~ Diebold Nixdorf, a leading company in automating and digitizing banking and shopping experiences, has announced the appointment of Frank T. Baur as their new executive vice president of Operational Excellence. In this role, Baur will be responsible for overseeing the company's global operations and driving sustainable quality and process improvement in supply chain, sourcing, manufacturing, and services. He will also be a part of Diebold Nixdorf's senior executive leadership team.
Baur brings with him a wealth of experience from his previous roles at GE Vernova and Parker Hannifin Corp. At GE Vernova, he served as the senior executive director for the Onshore Wind business where he successfully implemented lean principles to improve cost productivity, on-time delivery, inventory reduction, and product quality. Prior to that, Baur was the vice president of EMEA supply chain at Parker Hannifin Corp., where he oversaw end-to-end supply chain management. He also spent 15 years at the Bosch Group in various supply chain leadership positions.

Reporting directly to Diebold Nixdorf's president and CEO Octavio Marquez, Baur is expected to bring his expertise in driving improvements in service and product-related industries to his new role. Marquez expressed confidence in Baur's abilities and believes that he will effectively lead the global operations team to achieve positive results.
Aside from his professional achievements, Baur is also a member of the advisory board for Global Supply Chain Management at Wayne State University in Detroit. He holds a degree in business administration from the University of Cooperative Education in Germany and currently resides with his family in Switzerland.
