Acclaimed CMO, global agency leader, and KPMG executive joins EMBER to scale and accelerate adoption, as the only platform scientifically proven to successfully connect employees, brands, and revenue
NEW YORK - Michimich -- EMBER™, the company behind the scientific breakthrough of Collective Organizational Identification (COI™), today announced that Bret Sanford-Chung has joined its Board of Directors. Sanford-Chung, widely recognized as one of the foremost and most influential leaders in modern global marketing, comes to EMBER with a track record of transforming brands, building organizations, and advising senior executives at the highest levels.
Most recently at KPMG, Sanford-Chung was Managing Director and Marketing Operations Consulting Lead for CMOs, driving large-scale operating model, strategic, and technology transformations. She has also served as Executive Partner at Forrester Research, advising CMOs, CDOs, and CEOs across financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, and retail. As Chief Marketing Officer of Smith Barney, she relaunched the brand into a modern financial services contender. Earlier in her career, she led the agency team that created HSBC's global "Values" campaign. This was work so iconic it became part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art.
"What EMBER has achieved with COI™ is one of the most powerful innovations I've seen in workforce science; finally giving marketers and C-suite leaders a standardized way to connect employee identity directly to business growth," said Sanford-Chung. "As both a former CMO and a longtime advisor to global executives, I know how critical this breakthrough is for leaders navigating growth today. I am thrilled to join EMBER's board and to help fuel its next chapter of growth as more organizations realize this is not just a measurement system; it's a new language for how brands and businesses thrive."

She deeply understands the importance of EMBER's work in building organizations from the inside out and brings decades of experience as a trusted executive advisor to C-level leaders around the world. We are honored to have her voice and leadership on our board as we continue scaling our platform."
In addition to her corporate leadership, Sanford-Chung is a founding faculty member of the Masters in Branding Program at the School of Visual Arts, a lecturer at Columbia University's Strategic Communications program, and an advisor to Columbia Business School and Pace University's Lubin School of Business. She has served on nonprofit boards including Just Food, and is a sought-after speaker across North America and the globe.
With this appointment, EMBER continues to build a world-class board to accelerate adoption of COI™ as the new global standard for linking workforce identity and employee performance directly to brand health and revenue, driving lasting, sustainable growth across 25 industry sectors. EMBER is home to the world's only longitudinal and deepest employee identity database, IRB-approved under U.S. federal research standards, and the only system scientifically proven to causally demonstrate the chain from employees to brand to revenue, unlike traditional employee engagement platforms.
