Celebrate Community and Support Local Initiatives at the 2025 GMACF Mardi Gras Gala.
MILAN, Mich. - Michimich -- The Greater Milan Area Community Fund (GMACF) is thrilled to announce its annual Gala will take place on March 1, 2025. This year's Mardi Gras-themed event promises an exciting night of vibrant energy, live entertainment, and community spirit, all supporting GMACF's vital mission.
The GMACF Gala has become a hallmark event, drawing supporters passionate about uplifting the Milan community. Proceeds from the Gala help fund initiatives that support local organizations such as Milan High School Robotics, Aid in Milan, and the Milan Historical Society, among others.
Strengthening Milan Through Philanthropy
Since its founding in 2005, the GMACF has partnered with the Community Foundation of Monroe County (CFMC) to deliver grants, scholarships, and resources that address the needs of Milan and its surrounding areas. Together, these organizations combine resources and expertise to create lasting community impact.

As an affiliate fund of CFMC, GMACF plays a pivotal role in fostering local philanthropy. The fund is overseen by a dedicated advisory board, whose responsibilities include educating the community about GMACF's benefits and ensuring impactful grant distributions.
The current Affiliate Fund Advisory Committee includes Dr. Eric Peacock, Chris McMullen, Jodie Franklin, Tina Walther, Cassie Prior, David Snyder, Bryan Girbach, and Todd Shultz.
"We are incredibly proud of the leadership and dedication shown by our advisory board," said Jodie Franklin, committee member and local Realtor. "Their work supports projects that enhance the lives of Milan residents both now and for future generations."
A Night to Remember: Mardi Gras Gala Details
The GMACF Mardi Gras Gala will be held at the Washtenaw Community College - Morris Lawrence Building (4800 E Huron River Dr, Ann Arbor, MI 48105). Guests can look forward to live music by John E. Lawrence, a Mardi Gras-themed buffet, and an exciting auction. Attendees are encouraged to dress in festive attire for this special evening of celebration and giving.
