ORLANDO, Fla. - Michimich -- For many people, boba is more than just a drink. It's the sweet reward after a long day of work, a treat shared with friends, or a small way to make an ordinary day feel a little more special.
Also known as bubble tea, the Taiwanese drink first gained popularity in the 1980s, blending tea, milk, sweeteners, and chewy tapioca pearls. Over time, it has grown into a global favorite and a small ritual people return to again and again.
For Alethea and Quynh, those moments eventually led to something unexpected. What began as a shared love of boba grew into an idea that would become their wellness brand, Love, Boba Babe.
Over time, conversations about favorite drinks and everyday rituals turned into a larger question: what if the treats people enjoy could also love them back?
That question became the starting point for the brand the two friends created together. Rather than approaching wellness through rigid routines or complicated supplements, they wanted to explore something more familiar — a way to connect the flavors people already enjoy with a more thoughtful approach to everyday self-care.

The idea eventually took shape in the brand's first product, To: U-Bae, a boba-inspired collagen drink made with hydrolyzed collagen peptides, biotin, and hyaluronic acid.
Rather than trying to recreate the boba shop experience, the founders focused on something simpler — capturing the comfort of a drink people already love and bringing it into a daily routine.
As boba continues to grow in popularity around the world, Alethea and Quynh saw an opportunity to explore the connection between nostalgia and everyday habits.
Love, Boba Babe is still in its early stages, with more boba-inspired flavors already in development. But the idea behind it remains simple: sometimes the smallest rituals matter the most.
And sometimes a favorite treat might do more than simply taste good.
It might even love you back.
