IIFX + Tech Partners Continue NextGen Virtual Reality Training Journey with Detroit Sports and Entertainment Staff

JACKSON, Miss., Sept. 24, 2024 ~ On August 20, 2024, a group of 42 frontline workers, supervisors, and managers from Ilitch Sports and Entertainment gathered at the Tiger Club at Comerica Park in Detroit for a unique training experience. They were participating in the ASPIRE (Action – Study – Prepare – Inspire – Rise – Be Exceptional) program, a joint initiative developed by the Innovation Institute for Fan Experience (IIFX) in partnership with Intel Corporation, Dell Technologies, and PIXO VR.

The ASPIRE program utilizes PIXO VR's Reality Intelligence™ virtual reality platform and training scenarios to provide NextGen training to employees in the sports and entertainment industry. This immersive and interactive training method has been proven to help people learn skills up to four times faster than traditional methods.

Dr. Lou Marciani, Director and Co-Founder of IIFX, explained the importance of this program for the multi-generational workforce in the sports and entertainment industry. "ASPIRE uses PIXO VR's Reality Intelligence™ virtual reality platform to deliver industry-relevant soft skills training," he said. "This allows workers to access effective immersive training that enhances their professional skills."

The ASPIRE program has already shown promising results, with 42 associates, managers, and executives participating in the pilot program. They completed pre- and post-training surveys about their experience with virtual reality training, which will be used by IIFX and PIXO to tailor the program specifically for the sports and entertainment industry.
