PITTSBURGH, April 21, 2025 ~ Jackson, Mich. - An inventor from Jackson, Mich., has created a new hand tool that aims to make tightening and loosening nuts and bolts easier, especially in confined spaces. The inventor, who wishes to remain anonymous, has named the tool the PACK RAT.
"I wanted to create an innovative hand tool that enables you to easily tighten and loosen nuts and bolts, especially in confined spaces," said the inventor. "My design enables you to stop annoying leaks in one step rather than the conventional five steps normally required to tighten a packing nut."
The PACK RAT is designed to contain several open end wrenches, making it convenient for users to quickly tighten or loosen nuts and bolts without having to switch between different tools. This not only saves time and effort but also reduces physical strain.

The ergonomic design of the PACK RAT makes it easy to use for a variety of individuals including commercial workers such as plumbers and pipefitters, do-it-yourself enthusiasts, and homeowners. A prototype model and technical drawings are available upon request.
The original design was submitted to the National sales office of InventHelp and is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
