ROMULUS, Mich., Aug. 27, 2025 ~ In a major victory for workers at Kroger, over 400 home delivery drivers at the company's Romulus Fulfilment Center have ratified their first collective bargaining agreement with Teamsters Local 337. The three-year contract, which was overwhelmingly approved by the workers, includes significant improvements to their wages, healthcare benefits, paid time off, and working conditions.
According to Todd Lince, President of Local 337, this is a significant achievement for the members at Kroger and sets a precedent for future organizing efforts across the company's fulfilment network. He stated, "Our agreement delivers real, life-changing improvements for our members and their families."
Last year, workers at Kroger's Romulus facility voted by a three-to-one margin to join Local 337, making them the first group of employees to organize at one of the company's fulfilment centers. This success has already sparked organizing drives at other Kroger facilities such as the Forest Park Fulfilment Center in Georgia and Kroger's distribution center in Las Vegas.
