Young Entrepreneurs Across Michigan Invited to Apply for Business Grants
ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Michimich -- MI-IMPACT Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to providing simple, sustainable projects and programs that impact Michigan youth, has opened its second annual Kidpreneur! Grant window to support youth-operated businesses. Today through March 15, 2025, Michigan youth aged 10-24 can apply for funds to help grow or start a small business located in Michigan. Grants are available in a variety of amounts up to $50,000 on a rolling basis until funds are exhausted.
"At MI-IMPACT, we believe youth shape the future of Michigan's communities," said Angela Space O'Rourke, Director of MI-IMPACT. "The Kidpreneur! Grant program is our way of empowering youth to turn their innovative ideas into thriving businesses, fostering a spirit of leadership, creativity, and entrepreneurship across the state."

Youth may apply for Kidpreneur! Grants at https://www.mi-impact.org, by clicking on "Current Programs," completing the online form, and attaching required documentation. Applicants must provide a one-page resume, a one-page business plan, and a one-page projected annual budget including expenses, potential profit and grant amount requested. Parents are advised to review all terms and requirements for participation before permitting their child to apply. Finalists will be contacted in April and awardees will be announced thereafter.
Past Kidpreneur! Grant awardees include Andrew Clarent of Extreme Freeze, LLC, an ice cream truck based in Bad Axe, Mich. Clarent's award amount of $25,000 allowed him to purchase necessary equipment and marketing materials to expand his business.
