New Day Partners with Chef Jenna, HUB Int'l, to deliver to Gr. Rapids families facing cancer

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Michimich -- WHAT:  Cancer patients need more than medicine to survive. This community partnership demonstrates how the power of compassion and community can provide critical emotional support to families facing a cancer diagnosis.

Chef Jenna from Amore Traittoria restaurant in Comstock Park will prepare delicious, hot meals for 10 New Day families in Kent County who are struggling to make ends meet while dealing with a cancer diagnosis. Volunteers from HUB International will deliver the Italian specialties to each family.  The project is coordinated by New Day Foundation for Families.

WHEN: The meals will be delivered between 4:30 - 5:00 pm on Wednesday, Oct. 25.

§  Lasagna - Lasagna with Bolognese sauce, bechamel and cheese

§  Fiorentina (Gluten Free) - Pounded chicken breast rolled and stuffed with sauteed spinach and smoked fontina cheese topped with vodka sauce
