Lemon Lodge Ski Bar is now booking ski and snowboard simulator sessions. Cheer on other guests by ringing cowbells in the Lodge while you enjoy a full lunch, dinner or happy hour cocktails and appetizers.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Michimich -- "Your personal indoor ski slope" is now open in downtown Colorado Springs. Lemon Lodge Ski Bar is booking ski and snowboard sessions at 111 East Pikes Peak Avenue, and offering a full lodge menu for lunch, dinner and happy hour.
Lemon Lodge Ski Bar features an Olympic-caliber ski and snowboard simulator, trusted by the U.S. Ski team for training its athletes, yet "Lemon Lodge is for all ages, beginners to experts, locals and tourists," says Lemon Lodge owner and co-founder, Melanie Hexter. "Colorado loves its skiing and snowboarding, but we are making snowsports more accessible – year-round for all ages and ability levels."

Each simulator reservation begins with the question, "What are your goals for this session?" Rental boots and ski socks are available, which makes it a great way for parents to introduce their kids to snowsports or for tourists to give it a try. The number of turns in a 20-minute session equates to about a half day on-mountain so the money and time saved is significant.
Qualified ski and snowboard instructors work one-on-one with riders during each session. Hexter notes that while the simulator's instructor modules were created by PSIA-AASI for maximum transfer of simulator skills to the slopes, many just want to try skiing or snowboarding, burn some calories or have fun with friends, family or co-workers.
"We have brass cowbells on the tables for all guests to ring for the skiers and snowboarders because the saying is, 'You can't clap with mittens on,'" continues Hexter. "Best of all, every first-time skier or snowboarder gets a yellow Lemon Lodge cowbell around their neck to celebrate their accomplishment."

In addition to the simulator, Lemon Lodge Ski Bar has a delicious lodge-style menu: all-day burritos, loaded mac and cheese and grilled cheese sandwiches, a variety of protein-based wraps and salads, appetizers and desserts plus Lemon Lodge's signature upgrade: bacon jam. Après, guests enjoy wine flights, wine cocktails featuring local Evergood Adventure Wines, and ski town beers. Walk-ins are welcome for lunch, dinner, happy hour or just to ring cowbells.
Visit lemonlodge.com to book simulator sessions, purchase punch cards or inquire about a corporate event or private party. Competitive ski and snowboard leagues, morning gym hours and kids' classes start in September.
