Toys For Tots families invited to shop for free children's gifts at Howell Outlet Mall
HOWELL, Mich. - Michimich -- This holiday season, Impact Fitness and EPIC Fitness, two Planet Fitness® franchise divisions with more than 56 clubs across Michigan, are spreading cheer and compassion through a heartfelt partnership with Toys for Tots. Together, with the generosity of the community, they helped transform the spirit of giving into a joyful, dignified holiday shopping experience for local families in need.
Supporting more than 4,000 children in Livingston County, Toys for Tots partnered with Planet Fitness clubs to collect thousands of brand-new, unwrapped toys over the past month. These generous donations made it possible for Toys for Tots families to shop free of charge for holiday gifts for children 0-18, ensuring every child can experience the excitement and magic of the season.
A retail space at the Howell Outlet Mall was transformed into a festive pop-up toy store filled with donations from Planet Fitness members and community supporters. Shelves were stocked with a wide variety of gifts including stuffed animals, board games, sports equipment, dolls, LEGOs, books, puzzles, bikes, scooters, and art supplies, offering something special for every child this season, no matter their interests or age.

Families enrolled in the Toys for Tots program were invited to browse and select gifts for their children creating a warm and empowering experience that puts parents at the heart of the holiday celebration.
The effort was made possible thanks to the dedication of Gary Dunn, a local retired U.S. Marine, who alongside many fellow veterans and local volunteers has helped bring the Toys for Tots program to life in Livingston County. Together this committed group has been running the program for the past 15 years, ensuring families feel supported, respected, and celebrated during the holiday season.
"This initiative is truly about our community coming together," stated Sarah Wilson, Marketing Director for Impact Fitness, a Planet Fitness Franchisee. "We are incredibly grateful to every Planet Fitness member, local resident, and partner who donated toys or helped spread the word. Your generosity turned simple gifts into moments of joy and hope for so many families, and we couldn't have done it without you."
Together EPIC Fitness and Impact Fitness provide Planet Fitness members with a welcoming, judgement-free space that encourages health, happiness, and community year long, while continuing to give back and strengthen the communities they serve.
