#MYSHPR is bringing the fun and games to our neighborhood parks this summer, allowing for resident children and adults to develop meaningful connections with one another and with city employees through various crafts and activities. This program is free for everyone and open to all ages! No registration required.
Friday, June 26 from 8-10 p.m. No registration required.
The fun doesn't need to always stop at dark as #MYSHPR illuminates the Skate Park once a month from 8-10 p.m. Bring your blades, boards, or scooters, roll to some tunes, and enjoy refreshments for purchase from a local food truck. Free to attend.

Kids will follow a colorful quest map as they move through the stage of a butterfly's life, stopping along the way for hands-on activities and playful challenges. Learn about the many species of wild bees in Michigan including descriptions of different types of bees and how to attract them. This program is designed for ages 8-12.

Explore the garden as we search for butterflies, learn about their life cycle and get creative with a crafting activity where you design and decorate your own butterfly wings. Then take them for a fluttering adventure in the garden!

This session offers a welcoming introduction to the art of archery for adults of all experience levels. Participants will learn safe shooting practices, proper form, and techniques that build accuracy and confidence. With guided instruction and plenty of range time, this program provides a relaxed space to focus, unwind, and enjoy a rewarding outdoor activity.

Learn painting techniques, explore, colors and textures, and create your very own bird-inspired masterpiece. This class is perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike. Part of our Twisted Summer programming, this twist on Bingo will have you dancing in your seat, or maybe even out of it. Like traditional Bingo, each player gets a Bingo card but instead of numbers it has song titles. A DJ plays short clips of popular tunes from the 60's – 80's. If the song played is on the card, mark it off. Be the first to complete the card and win a prize. All participants will also receive 2 slices of pizza and beverage to help keep them energized throughout the evening.

Participants will also have time to create a craft to remember the day.
