PANAMA CITY, Fla., Feb. 10, 2025 ~ Dr. Patrick Tamim, a renowned vascular surgeon, has been recognized as a Pinnacle Life Member for his significant contributions to the field of Vascular Surgery. This prestigious honor was bestowed upon him by The Inner Circle, a highly esteemed organization in the medical community.

Dr. Tamim's journey towards becoming a prominent figure in the field of Vascular Surgery began at Southern Methodist University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry. He then pursued his medical education at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, where he obtained his Medical Degree. Dr. Tamim further honed his skills through a general surgical residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit and Abbington Hospital in Pennsylvania, followed by a one-year critical care fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital. He completed his academic pursuits with a fellowship in vascular surgery at Hartford Hospital in Connecticut.

As a dual board-certified vascular surgeon by the American Board of Surgery (ABS), Dr. Tamim explained that this certification is an independent, non-profit organization based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was founded with the aim of certifying surgeons who have met specific standards of education, training, and knowledge. With expertise in treating carotid disease, aortic aneurysms, and peripheral artery disease surgery, Dr. Tamim is highly skilled in various procedures such as carotid endarterectomy, deep vein thrombosis treatment, dialysis access surgery, peripheral vascular diseases treatment, spider vein removal, stroke management and varicose veins treatment.

Vascular surgery is a specialized field that deals with diseases related to the vascular system - including arteries, veins and lymphatic circulation - through medical therapy or minimally invasive catheter procedures or surgical reconstruction. As a vascular surgeon himself, Dr. Tamim diagnoses and treats conditions affecting blood vessels and helps patients manage chronic conditions throughout their lives.

For 18 years now, Dr. Tamim has been affiliated with Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center, where he has been in private practice, serving the Panama City Florida area and its surrounding counties. Throughout his 23-year career, he has received numerous accolades, including the Patients Choice Award (2018, 2017, 2016, 2014, 2013, 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008), Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2018, 2017, 2016, 2014, 2013, 2011, 2010), Top 10 Doctors in the State (2014), and On-Time Doctor Award (2018, 2017, 2016). He is also a member of the Society for Vascular Surgery and Emerald Coast Medical Association.

Aside from his successful medical career, Dr. Tamim is also known for his civic-mindedness. He regularly participates in a lecture series through the Council on Aging at his local hospital and is fluent in multiple languages such as English, French and Arabic.
