FRANKENMUTH, Mich. - Michimich -- Frankenmuth Bavarian Inn Restaurant (https://www.bavarianinn.com/) will host their widely anticipated Walker on the Water Bourbon Dinner on September 12, 2025. The event will take place on the Holz Brücke Wooden Covered Bridge, offering a once in a lifetime experience for guests.
Executive Chef Jason Wellnitz and Chef Jacob Austin, representing the culinary talents of the Bavarian Inn Lodge and Bavarian Inn Restaurant, have collaborated to craft a menu that not only complements the bold, refined flavors of Johnnie Walker whiskey but also reflects the timeless elegance of the Covered Bridge setting.
Each course will be paired with a Johnnie Walker whiskey cocktail, beginning with the hors d'oeuvres: skewered cubes of pork belly finished with a bourbon-maple glaze and scotch-braised chicken thigh, served alongside a refreshing Welcome Highball. Following the hors d'oeuvres, the first course will be served: Grilled Peaches, candy-striped beets, baby arugula, toasted walnuts, feta, and fresh mint paired with a Penicillin Cocktail.

Following the first course, the main course will be presented: a Grilled New York Strip Steak with Johnnie Walker Black Label Butter, a Charred Shrimp Skewer, Creamy Mashed Potatoes, and Grilled Broccolini. This course will be served alongside a Cragganmore Scotch Old Fashioned. Transitioning from savory to sweet, the final course of the night is a Brown Butter Cake with almond cherry compote, vanilla caramel custard, and smoked whipped cream. A Maple Hot Toddy with Mortlach with Zehnder Maple Syrup will accompany the last course, an exquisite finale to an elegant night.
This rare culinary experience will unfold on Frankenmuth's beloved Covered Bridge — shut down exclusively for the evening, one of only a few times this iconic landmark will be closed down in its lifetime.
Guests will be required to purchase tickets before the event. The event will be $125 per person, which will include the meal, drinks, tax, and gratuity. Tickets can be purchased by calling 989-652-9941 or at the link below.
