GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., June 15, 2025 ~ Belmont, Mich. - The 11th Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give came to a thrilling conclusion today, with Carlota Ciganda being crowned as the 2025 champion. The four-day event, held at Blythefield Country Club, showcased top-tier golf and made a significant impact on the community.

Tournament officials proudly announced that the event surpassed its goal for the Meijer Simply Give hunger relief program by raising $1.5 million. This will help stock the shelves of hundreds of food pantries across the Midwest. With this year's contribution, the Meijer LPGA Classic has now generated over 100 million meals for families in need.

"We are incredibly grateful for how the community embraced our event again this year," said Rick Keyes, President and CEO of Meijer. "More importantly, we are proud of the significant impact this tournament has on communities throughout the Midwest. This would not be possible without the staff, volunteers, sponsors, players, and spectators who made this a week to remember."

Ciganda's victory was sealed with birdies on the final two holes on Sunday, marking her first LPGA Tour win in over eight years. This was her third career LPGA Tour victory and first since 2016. She now shares the record for most wins by a Spanish player with Beatriz Recari. Ciganda also became only the second European to claim victory at the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give since Leona Maguire's triumph in 2023.

"It feels amazing after all these years," Ciganda said. "I love coming here; it reminds me of Spain where I'm from - very similar with lots of trees and peaceful surroundings. I love this golf course; you can hit it hard here with five par 5s."

The tournament featured a star-studded field of past champions, top-ranked LPGA players, and emerging talent, all competing for the title. With the help of over 1,400 volunteers, the four-day event also offered various family-friendly activities, food experiences, and opportunities for fans to interact with their favorite players. This made it the most attended Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give yet.
