~ Residents and visitors of Sterling Heights have plenty of ways to stay active and make the most of their summer. With over fifteen miles of dedicated trails, 31 parks, and a variety of outdoor sports, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
The city has many trails that are shared use, allowing people to bike, walk, jog, rollerblade, and more. For those looking to play golf, there are several courses in the area such as Maple Lane Golf Club (33203 Maple Lane Drive), Rammler Golf Club (38180 Utica Road), Plum Brook Golf Club (13390 Plumbrook Drive), or Henriksen's Driving Range South (43800 Van Dyke Ave).
For a different kind of activity, residents can take on a canoe or kayak paddling adventure down the Clinton River. There are two docks available at Rotary Park (37328 Utica Road) and North Clinton River Park (8600 Riverland Drive). The EZDock launches make this activity available to beginners, seasoned participants, and participants with disabilities. Both landings are free to the public.

Those looking for some friendly competition can find volleyball courts at Dodge, Nelson, Farmstead, or Imus Park; soccer fields at Dodge, Nelson, Baumgartner, Delia and Farmstead Parks; tennis courts at Delia Arlingdale Avis Beaver Creek Carpathia Family Franklin Hampton Magnolia and Washington Square Park; and basketball courts at Dodge Farmstead Arlington Carpathia College Family Hampton Imus Magnolia or Washington Square Park.
The Community Center is also home to an indoor track and drop-in gym activities for those who want to stay active even on a rainy day. Fitness classes such as Zumba Yoga Line Dance Lift Shred & Burn are offered for ages 18+ and 50+.
