DETROIT - Michimich -- BUF of Michigan is proud to announce we have been awarded one of PepsiCo Foundation's Community Impact Grants. The PepsiCo Foundation is the philanthropic arm of PepsiCo, Inc. (N A S D A Q: PEP), one of the world's leading food and beverage companies. The PepsiCo Foundation's Community Impact Grants program is a part of the company's efforts to support local communities by providing resources for valuable programming. BUF's programs introduce students to careers in aviation/aerospace, medical, entrepreneurial and employment training just to name a few.
BUF of Michigan is one of 100 public charities and organizations across the United States and Canada awarded the $10,000 Community Impact Grant. Through strategic partnerships, such as the Community Impact Grant, the PepsiCo Foundation aspires to provide lasting change by tackling the challenges of inequality through access to economic opportunity, clean water, and food security.
"We are delighted to receive the financial support from PepsiCo because it reaffirms our commitment to continue to focus on youth empowerment. Through PepsiCo's generosity we can give youth exposure to traditional and non-traditional career paths.," CEO/President of BUF of Michigan said.
