General Motors presents a new 2-day Leadership Conference supporting Michigan's military women and designed to encourage workplace diversity, equity and inclusion
DETROIT - Michimich -- Many of the nation's top military leaders are taking the stage this April, engaging and inspiring Michigan's business professionals to focus on forging change via mindset and skill development in communities, workplaces, and beyond.
The Others Over Self® 2023 Leadership Conference & Women Veterans Engage - Detroit is a two-day interactive gathering where business professionals, military people and Veterans discuss, dialogue and debate the issues, trends and emerging advocacy opportunities driving success in leadership.
The conference is April 28 and 29, 2023, and is presented by General Motors. It is hosted by the Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters and Millwrights at the Union Carpenters and Millwrights Skilled Training Center, 11687 American Ave, Detroit MI.

Proceeds support military Veterans and their families. This event is open to the public. Free tickets are available for the first 100 military women and women Veterans registered.
Live and virtual attendees are participating in 19 local and national sessions being presented by award-winning speakers and decorated warfighters. Notable speakers include Qwynn Galloway-Salazar, PH.D., an End of Life Doula, U.S. Army Veteran and Founder of In Their Honor, LLC, and Brigadier General (retired) Doug "Odie" Slocum, U.S. Air Force Veteran and Founder of The Slocum Group, LLC.
