Skipper, a former all-star basketball player from Eastern Michigan University, is the driving force behind Youth Are Bigger Than Life. Despite facing adversity on and off the court, Skipper's journey is one of resilience and determination. His life took a significant turn when he encountered heart issues, leading to the installation of a cardiac pacemaker. However, rather than allowing this setback to define him, Skipper used it as inspiration to create positive change within his community.
Reflecting on his journey, Skipper shares, "Life threw me a curveball, but I refused to let it defeat me. Instead, I channeled my energy into creating opportunities for others, especially our youth, because they are indeed bigger than life."
