NOVI, Mich. - Michimich -- Noticing spots on your shower door handle?
Is there a cloudy film starting to form on the glass?
Here are our maintenance tips:
The Daily Routine
Stick with those three steps, and you probably won't need much else. But if you have hard water or can't squeegee every single day, plan a deeper clean about every 15 showers.
A 50/50 mix of water and white vinegar works beautifully on the glass. For hardware, just wipe it down with a clean, damp cloth.

Is there a cloudy film starting to form on the glass?
Here are our maintenance tips:
The Daily Routine
- Run the bathroom fan. Turn it on before you shower and leave it running for a while after. Good ventilation is your first line of defense against mold and mildew.
- Squeegee the glass. One quick pass after each shower removes the water that causes hard-water spots and mineral buildup. It shouldn't take more than 30 seconds.
- Wipe down the hardware. Use a soft, dry towel or rag on handles, hinges, and frames. This keeps spots and grime from settling on the finish.
Stick with those three steps, and you probably won't need much else. But if you have hard water or can't squeegee every single day, plan a deeper clean about every 15 showers.

What NOT to do:
- Skip abrasive cleaners. Scouring agents scratch glass and hardware alike. Over time, those tiny scratches add up and leave the glass looking hazy.
- Avoid harsh chemicals. Stay away from anything with ammonia, bleach, oxides, or acids. These can etch and pit the glass surface, leaving it permanently dull. Good rule of thumb: if you need gloves to handle it, it's too harsh for your shower.
- Never use cleaners on hardware. The chemicals can pit and etch anodized or painted finishes, and they can damage the gaskets and seals between the hardware and the glass. Stick to that mild soap-and-water method.
