Campaign honors generations of girl power while bringing awareness to the issues, challenges and opportunities facing girls in the 21st century
DETROIT - Michimich -- Girls across the globe face challenges - from access to education and capital to greater risks of digital harassment and domestic abuse.
But despite those challenges, girls are poised to change the world. They are creators. They are innovators and they are POWERful.
From October 1-11, 2020, Empowered Flower Girl will dedicate its social media channels to "Girls Who Transform the World." The company will host a live discussion and kickoff event via Facebook as well as highlight girls who are making an impact in their communities.
"We're doing this in honor of International Day of the Girl, which is observed every year on October 11," said Rasheda Kamaria Williams, founder and chief empowering officer of Empowered Flower Girl. "Our goal is to celebrate and honor generations of girl power while bringing awareness to the issues, challenges and opportunities facing girls in the 21st century."
