HUDSONVILLE, Mich. - Michimich -- ESPEC North America, the U.S. subsidiary of ESPEC Corp. and a global market leader in environmental testing solutions, has achieved Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2 compliance under the U.S. Department of Defense cybersecurity framework. The company earned a perfect assessment score of 110 out of 110, with no findings requiring a Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M).
CMMC Level 2 requires full implementation of 110 cybersecurity practices aligned with NIST SP 800-171 and is designed to protect Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) throughout the Defense Industrial Base. Achieving full compliance demonstrates ESPEC's commitment to safeguarding sensitive customer, partner, and program information while supporting the cybersecurity requirements of defense-related programs.

The compliance effort was led by ESPEC's internal IT organization and reflects a long-term investment in cybersecurity, governance, and operational excellence. The perfect assessment score confirms that every required security control was fully implemented and successfully validated.
"Quality is more than a word to us. It defines how we design, manufacture, and support every chamber we deliver," said Luke Polega, President of ESPEC North America. "That standard applies to every dimension of how we operate, including how we protect the data and trust of the customers and partners who depend on us."
For defense contractors, prime suppliers, and other highly regulated manufacturers, this achievement provides additional confidence that ESPEC maintains rigorous controls for protecting sensitive information throughout the testing lifecycle. Under CMMC 2.0, prime contractors are responsible for verifying that their subcontractors meet compliance requirements at the appropriate level before awarding subcontracts. ESPEC meets that standard.
