FRANKENMUTH, Mich. - Michimich -- The beautiful town of Frankenmuth is set to welcome cyclists from around the State and beyond to the 5^th Annual Frankenmuth Fondo cycling event. The event will take place on Saturday, August 12, 2023, starting at the Frankenmuth River Place Shops. Participants will bike through one of the region's most bike-friendly cities along with picturesque farmlands and scenic roads.

The Frankenmuth Fondo offers cycling enthusiasts of all levels the opportunity to partake in a 25k, 50k or 100k. From avid cyclists seeking a test of endurance to leisure riders aiming to embrace the joy of pedaling through picturesque scenery, this event caters to everyone's passion for cycling. A dedicated team of volunteers will be on hand to provide rest stops with hydration, nutrition, and mechanical support. The route is well marked with color coded markers.

After the ride, participants will finish back at Frankenmuth River Place Shops to enjoy the "Finish Line Festivities" including food trucks, craft beer, raffle, music and the charm of Frankenmuth. Additional River Place events will also be happening that day including Big Bounce America, Rock N Roll K9s, Cobblestone Sales and more!

The Frankenmuth Fondo Bike Race not only offers a great cycling experience but also provides an opportunity to give back to the community. All proceeds from the event will go to the Frankenmuth Rotary Helping Hands Fund. This fund helps people who face financial difficulty. Your donations have made a huge impact - from replacing water heaters, paying overdue medical bills, helping abused women and children resettle, replace hearing aids for elderly people who are making decisions to eat rather than hear because they cannot afford both and many others. To date, more than $75,000 has been given in assistance.
