DETROIT, Jan. 7, 2025 ~ The Detroit 2030 District has announced that Dr. Steven Kalkanis, CEO of Henry Ford Hospital and Henry Ford Medical Group, will be the keynote speaker at their Kickoff Party and fundraiser on Thursday, January 30, 2025. The event will take place at the Detroit Roostertail and aims to raise funds for the district's sustainability goals.
Kendal Kuneman, Executive Director of the Detroit 2030 District, expressed excitement about having Dr. Kalkanis as their keynote speaker. She stated that Henry Ford Health's commitment to sustainability aligns perfectly with the district's mission.
Henry Ford Health is leading the way in healthcare sustainability with a goal to achieve net-zero operational emissions by 2050. During his speech, Dr. Kalkanis will discuss how Henry Ford Health is incorporating sustainability into their projects such as Destination: Grand and the Future of Health project in collaboration with Michigan State University and the Detroit Pistons.
