Golden Limousine and WEMU are again partnering to provide round trip shuttle transportation to and from the Motor City for the 2022 Detroit Jazz Festival.
ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Michimich -- The Golden Jazz Fest shuttles will run on Saturday, September 3, Sunday, September 4, and Monday, September 5 from Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti to Detroit. "We are proud to be teaming up with WEMU to provide shuttles to the beloved free Detroit Jazz Festival," said Golden Limousine President & CEO Sean Duval. "Supporting this great community event by providing a hassle-free transportation option for those in the Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti communities is very important to us as a company. The shuttles will depart from Skyline High School in Ann Arbor, and the EMU George Gervin GameAbove Center (formerly the Convocation Center), in Ypsilanti. The return shuttle from Detroit will depart from Huntington Place (formerly known as Cobo Center). Because of the continued partnership with WEMU, the cost is $20.00 per round trip per day, in advance, and $25.00 per round trip per day if booked after September 1.

The 2022 Detroit Jazz Festival, the world's largest free Jazz festival, will be held over Labor Day weekend, September 2 – 5. According to Chris Collins, President, and Artistic Director of the Detroit Jazz Festival Foundation, the Festival "will feature legacy artists, propagate and nurture the next generation of jazz performers and audiences, and showcase the diverse tapestry of jazz in one festival." This year, the festival features its first Cuban Artist in Residence, Chucho Valdés. Some festival headliners include the Bill Frisell Trio, Dianne Reeves, Nubya Garcia, Julian Lage, and The Soul Rebels.
"There is no better place in the world for jazz than Labor Day weekend in Detroit," said Gretchen Valade, chair of the Detroit Jazz Festival Foundation Board of Directors. "We're truly excited for another great jazz festival and welcome our guests from around the world to our beautiful city."
