GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Michimich -- VERVINT, a subsidiary of Koniag is excited to announce the selection of Chuck Tsocanos as President and Chief Consulting Officer, effective immediately. With more than 30 years of experience in IT consulting and professional services, Tsocanos is set to lead Vervint into its next phase of growth and transformation.
Tsocanos joins Vervint from Grid Dynamics, where he led the Cloud and Application Modernization practice. His extensive leadership background includes executive roles at IBM, Orange, Slalom, Accenture, and Morgan Stanley. Tsocanos holds an electrical engineering degree from Rutgers University, a master's in computer science from Pace University, and an MBA from New York University.
"Chuck's deep consulting expertise, technical acumen, and commitment to fostering a warm and collaborative culture are exactly what Vervint needs to achieve its vision of becoming a nationally recognized digital consultancy," said Ron Unger, Chairman and CEO of Koniag. "We are confident his leadership and experience will deliver industry-leading value to our customers and create opportunities for our employees and our Alaska Native communities we serve."
As a subsidiary of Koniag for the last 13 years, the leadership transition marks a new chapter for Vervint, strengthening its position as a national technology, digital and consulting services firm and supporting Koniag's long-term expansion strategy. Unger said, "With over 3,500 employees across the country and growing, Koniag has a depth and breadth of consulting and technology capabilities which enhances Vervint's already extensive portfolio."

"I am honored to lead Vervint as we embark on the next phase of growth in support of Koniag's purpose-driven mission," says Tsocanos. "With a proud history of delivering market-leading solutions and a team of exceptional technology consultants, Vervint is uniquely positioned to be a powerhouse in professional services. Our commitment to innovation and excellence will drive the co-creation of cutting-edge products—from user experience design to full-stack technology solutions—leveraging advancements in data, AI, applications, and cloud technologies."
Alongside Tsocanos' appointment, Koniag has introduced Allen Debes as the inaugural CEO of Koniag Capital, the holding company of the Alaska Native regional corporation's commercial technology sector.
