VFAF is announcing the endorsement of Victor Avila for Texas 23^rd congressional district said Angie Wong VFAF.org national media rep.

Victor Avila is a retired Supervisory Special Agent with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), under the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) seeking the Republican nomination to represent Texas' 23rd Congressional District.

"Victor Avila is an American hero who will represent the will of the people and our conservative values. The incumbent, Tony Gonzalez, has not kept his promises and voted numerous times against the will of the people and our values. Gonzalez has been censured by the GOP in Texas and we at Veterans for Trump are censuring him here nationally," said Stan Fitzgerald Veterans for Trump president.

"Gonzalez talks like us but his voting record shows he is not one of us," said attorney Jared Craig a Veterans for Trump ambassador.

"At Veterans for Trump one of our primary mission statements is a secure border, Tom Homan is part of our advisory board. Gonzalez is on the wrong side of the border crisis," said Vlad Lemets Veterans for Trump chairman.

While on official assignment in Mexico, Special Agent Avila suffered multiple gunshot wounds and survived a violent ambush by the Mexican Los Zetas drug cartel where Special Agent Jaime Zapata tragically lost his life.

ICE-HSI is responsible for investigating crimes pertaining to immigration, trade, customs, and border security that threaten the security of the American Homeland. While serving with ICE-HSI, Victor personally led criminal investigations of human traffickers, drug smugglers, and violent criminals.

During his time with ICE-HSI, Victor also served as an accredited diplomat to Mexico, Spain, and Portugal. Victor advised these governments on complex and wide-ranging criminal investigations including narcotics trafficking, arms trafficking, human trafficking, financial violations, commercial fraud, and counter-terrorism.
