DETROIT, July 28, 2025 ~ Detroit travelers will soon have a new dining option at the Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW). Wahlburgers, the popular restaurant brand founded by brothers Mark, Donnie, and Chef Paul Wahlberg, is set to open its doors in Terminal A on August 4th.
According to Randy Sharpe, CEO of Wahlburgers, Detroit holds a special place in the hearts of the Wahlberg family. This makes the opening of a Wahlburgers at DTW even more meaningful. The restaurant will offer travelers a taste of the family's signature gourmet burgers, sandwiches, and breakfast favorites.
The new counter-service location will be open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., providing travelers with crave-worthy comfort food options. The menu will feature dishes inspired by the flavors that filled the Wahlberg family's kitchen while growing up together. From their famous Our Breakfast Burger and Breakfast Burrito to their Impossible (™) Burger and Crispy Chicken Ranch Sandwich, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

"We're thrilled to bring the family's favorite recipes to travelers, giving them a taste of our signature flavors while on the go," said Sharpe. "Detroit has such a strong sense of pride and personality – just like our brand – so it feels like a perfect fit."
The restaurant will operate as a counter-service concept within DTW's food court, located across Gate A64. It will also have shared seating nearby for guests to enjoy their meals before takeoff or during layovers. The DTW location will be owned and operated by Delaware North, a global leader in hospitality and food service that currently serves 22 airport locations.
This opening adds to Wahlburgers' growing list of airport locations, which includes an existing spot at Boston Logan International Airport and an upcoming one at Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport later this year. With more locations on the horizon, Wahlburgers continues to bring its fan-favorite flavors to guests across the country.
So, whether you're catching a flight or simply craving a delicious burger, Wahlburgers at DTW has got you covered. Make sure to stop by and experience the comfort of a craveable meal on the go.
