DC Norris North America Installs 6, 650-Gallon Cooking Kettles for Artisanal Soup, Sauce, Meal and Marinade Producer Blount Fine Foods

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. - Michimich -- DC Norris North America is proud to have completed a recent project and installation for Blount Fine Foods, a premier producer of ready-to-eat artisanal soups, sauces, meals, and marinades. Blount generates over 450 million servings of premium soups each year.

To expand their production efficiency, safety, and capacity DC Norris manufactured 6, 650-gallon stainless steel cooking kettles fitted with the DCN Jet Cook steam system, braising bars, in-vessel high-shear mixers, lift-out agitators, and spray balls for CIP. In addition to the cooking kettles, DC Norris North America supplied the necessary companion equipment including tote bin lift and tip machines, a custom-manufactured operator access platform, and integrated Recipe Manager with full data capture. The combination of DCN automation and control still permits full flexibility of use, which allows Blount to retain their artisanal approach to cooking.
