ANN ARBOR, Mich., April 22, 2025 ~ The Detroit Lions and UMCU, the official credit union of the Detroit Lions, have announced an extension and expansion of their partnership. This collaboration first began in 2018 with a shared commitment to making a positive impact in the Detroit community.
According to Mike Disner, Chief Operating Officer of the Detroit Lions, this partnership is an exciting opportunity to solidify another Michigan-based partner who is dedicated to the growth and well-being of the entire state. He also stated that UMCU's focus on serving and educating the local community aligns perfectly with the off-field mission of the Lions. This will be a key area of growth in their extended partnership.
UMCU's CEO, Tiffany Ford, who is also a native Detroiter, expressed her organization's value for their continued partnership with the Detroit Lions. She believes that working together for shared success is at the heart of everything they do. Ford also acknowledged how football brings the community together and how it aligns perfectly with UMCU's purpose.

One of the main focuses of this partnership is education. UMCU offers financial literacy programs tailored for different age groups such as Cub Club members, incoming Rookies, Lions Legends, and season ticket holders. The collaboration between UMCU and the Lions aims to make a difference both on and off the field.
