NEW YORK, July 7, 2025 ~ Detroit, MI - Eastside Golf, the innovative lifestyle brand that is redefining the intersection of golf, culture, and fashion, has announced the opening of its first U.S.-based retail store. This marks a major milestone for the rapidly growing brand and is sure to be an exciting addition to the city's retail scene.
Located at the Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW), Terminal A, Gate 34, the new store spans approximately 300 square feet and offers a curated selection of Eastside Golf's signature apparel and accessories. These include their popular Swingman sweatshirts, tracksuits, performance polos, and bucket hats that have become known for their fashion-forward looks both on and off the course.
The store is operated in partnership with Paradies Lagardère, a global leader in travel retail and operator of PGA TOUR Shops. This collaboration brings together two industry leaders to provide customers with an exceptional shopping experience.
Eastside Golf was founded by former Morehouse College golf teammates Olajuwon Ajanaku and Earl Cooper. The brand has quickly emerged as a cultural force by reshaping the game's image and appeal through authentic storytelling, barrier-breaking collaborations, and fashion-forward design.

He showed his teammate Cooper a sketch of their signature Swingman logo on a t-shirt and received an overwhelming response from people asking where they could purchase it. This sparked the idea for Eastside Golf and its unique blend of golf and streetwear fashion.
Cooper also has strong ties to Detroit as he was born in Flint and spent years working as a PGA Teaching Professional at the Detroit Golf Club. He expressed his excitement about opening their first store in a city that holds so much meaning for both himself and Ajanaku.
The U.S. store opening is just one part of Eastside Golf's expansive plans for the future. The brand has already announced partnerships with leading national fashion and sports retailers, including Nordstrom, Golf Galaxy, DICK'S Sporting Goods, and House of Sport. They have also expanded their presence in streetwear and golf pro shop locations and operate a retail store in Tokyo in partnership with High Draw.
