D.L. Sloat, the author of the Chuck Cory Story trilogy, finds inspiration from his experience as an educator and parent. He has transformed the sportsbook genre by subtly introducing universal themes that teenagers often explore in their ELA classes and their personal lives. Hardwood Hacker primarily tackles bullying, friendship, and discrimination.
