Grand Rapids author, Dawn Scott Damon, receives awards for latest book.
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Michimich -- Redemption Press is proud to announce their author, Dawn Scott Damon, is the winner of two recent awards for The Freedom Challenge: 60 Days to Untie the Cords That Bind You. Damon won a third place Golden Scroll Award in the Bible-study-of-the-year category from the Advanced Writers and Speakers Association (AWSA). The author received the award at the Golden Scroll Banquet, August 25, 2019 at the Embassy Suites Conference Center in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The Freedom Challenge also won a bronze medal in the Christian, biblical counseling category in the 2019 Readers' Favorite International Book Awards, an industry leader and a popular book review and book award site. Divine Zape, who reviewed the book for Readers' Favorite says, "Dawn Scott Damon takes readers on an interactive journey, confronting them with biblical truths that reveal the cords of bondage and show how negative beliefs are formed, and how they hinder believers from embracing a life of hope and the freedom of faith."

An ordained minister with the Wesleyan Church, Dawn is the lead pastor of Tribes, a multicultural church in Rockford, MI. The founder of FreedomGirl Sisterhood conference and radio broadcast, she blogs at freedomgirlsisterhood.com. Dawn and her husband, Paul, have five children between them and eleven grandchildren, and live in the Rockford area.
