~ The Department of Public Works has announced a new project aimed at improving the sanitary conditions near the intersection of 17 Mile Road and Dodge Park. The project, which is set to begin on March 24, 2025, will be carried out by Insituform Technologies USA.
According to the department, the construction is expected to be completed by May 9, 2025. As part of this project, several closures and detours will be in place to ensure the safety of both drivers and pedestrians.

Starting from March 24, the eastbound right lane of 17 Mile Road will be closed from Dodge Park Road to the east. Additionally, Sorrento Boulevard will also be closed at Dodge Park Road from March 31 to May 9.
Pedestrian detours will also be marked with signage to assist with navigation during this time. The department urges all drivers and pedestrians to plan ahead, follow posted detours, and exercise caution in the work zone.
