~ As the Easter holiday approaches, several buildings in the community will be temporarily closed to observe the occasion. The Community Center, Senior Center, and Nature Center will all be closed from April 18-20. Normal operations will resume on Monday, April 21.
In other news, the Bocce Barn is set to open for the season on April 21. This three-season facility boasts two club-sized bocce courts with turf and is fully enclosed. For more information on this exciting addition to the community, interested individuals can click here.
For families with young children, the Community Center has a variety of classes available for registration starting the week of April 7. The Little Learners program offers classes for children ages 12 months to 6 years old that focus on developing motor skills, sensory exploration, literacy, and more. Additionally, new sessions of adult fitness classes will also begin during this week.
Looking for some fun activities during the month of April? The Community Center has you covered with two upcoming events. On Friday, April 11 from 6-9 p.m., there will be an April Showers Social where participants can enjoy pizza and beverages while creating lasting memories. Registration is required by April 10. Then on Thursday, April 17 from 7-9 p.m., teens can join in on specially designed activities to celebrate the holiday. Refreshments will be provided and registration is required by April 15.

For those interested in nature and wildlife, the Nature Center has some exciting programs lined up for April as well. On Saturday, April 5 and Saturday, April 12 there will be interactive sessions for children ages 3-11 to learn about reptiles and amphibians as well as eggs and animals that lay them. Registration is required for these events.
At the Senior Center, there are also plenty of opportunities for involvement during the month of April. Throughout the entire month, there will be a shoe donation drive for children, men, and women's shoes. Donations can be placed in the collection bin located near Rooms 5 and 6.
For those interested in learning a new skill, the Senior Center is offering stained glass classes every Thursday from April 3-24. Participants will learn how to create beautiful stained glass projects to take home. Registration is required by April 23.
And finally, on Tuesday, April 29 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., the Secretary of State will be bringing its services to the Senior Center. This includes services such as state ID or driver's license renewal, title transfers, disability placards, and more. Appointments can be made by calling the Senior Center at 586-446-2750.
With so many exciting events and programs happening in the community during the month of April, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Make sure to mark your calendars and take advantage of these opportunities!
