~ Sterling Heights, MI - As the winter season comes to an end, the Dodge Park Ice Rink will be closing its doors on Sunday, March 2. This will be the last chance for residents to enjoy skating until the rink reopens in December.
Located at the Community Center, the ice rink has been a popular spot for families and friends to gather and have fun on the ice. With its closure approaching, residents are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity before it's too late.
In addition to the ice rink, the Community Center has a variety of events and activities planned for March. On Saturday, March 1 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., they will be hosting their annual Mom 2 Mom Sale. This year's event promises to be bigger and better with over 100 vendors selling toys, clothing, furniture and more. Concessions will also be available during the event.
For Sterling Heights residents, admission is free while non-residents can join in on the fun for just $3 per person.
On Saturday, March 8 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., there will be a Field of Flowers Painting Class where participants can learn how to capture nature's beauty on canvas using acrylic paints. Registration is required by March 5.

On Saturday, March 15 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., join in on the "Green Twist" event where participants will learn about eco-friendly practices and create green-themed crafts using recycled and natural materials. This year-long evidence-based program focuses on healthy eating, physical activity, stress management and motivation to help prevent or delay Type 2 Diabetes.
