~ The City of Sterling Heights is preparing for its 44th Annual Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 29th, 2023. This year's theme is "Victory through Unity" and will feature a historic flyover of authentic WWII Tuskegee Airmen planes. U.S. Army Veteran and current Vice President of the National Museum of the Tuskegee Airmen Larry Sargent will serve as Grand Marshal.
The parade will include marching bands, scout troops, civic groups and individuals along the route from City Center Courtyard to Heritage Jr. High. Tens of thousands of spectators are expected to line the route to watch the parade.

Memorial Day activities begin at 9 a.m., with a solemn tribute to all veterans who died in the line of duty, followed by the parade at 10 a.m. Applications for participation in the parade are available on sterling-heights.net or by contacting Community Relations Director Melanie Davis at mdavis@sterling-heights.net or (586) 446-2471 (o) or (586) 303-0923 (m).
