The athlete-first sports highlight platform is expanding across Georgia, Virginia, and the Hampton Roads 757 region while spotlighting early athletes building their brands on TAYP.
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. & ATLANTA - Michimich -- TAYP, a growing athlete-focused sports media platform, is officially expanding beyond Georgia as the company increases its presence across Virginia and the Hampton Roads 757 region to help athletes gain more exposure through short-form highlights and recruiting-focused media tools.
Built by former athlete and Army veteran Archie Crawford, TAYP was created to help athletes take control of their visibility in the modern recruiting era. The platform allows users to upload highlights, build sports profiles, and share content designed for coaches, recruiters, trainers, fans, and sports media.
"TAYP was built around a simple idea: athletes should not have to wait to be discovered anymore," said Crawford, founder of TAYP LLC. "There is elite talent everywhere, especially in Georgia and the 757. We want athletes from those communities to have a platform built to help them get seen."

The expansion into Virginia carries personal meaning for Crawford, who grew up in the Hampton Roads area and played football at Menchville High School before continuing his athletic and leadership journey through college football, ROTC, and military service.
As part of the expansion, TAYP has also started highlighting some of its first athletes on the platform, including rising basketball prospect Michael Parris and quarterback Aedin Worst.
Parris, a Class of 2028 shooting guard playing with City Rocks on the EYBL circuit, has emerged as one of the fastest-rising young guards in the Northeast. Worst, a Class of 2029 quarterback from Newport News, has already gained attention after earning varsity playing time early in his high school career.
"TAYP is not just about posting highlights," Crawford said. "It's about helping athletes build visibility around their journey before everyone else catches on."
TAYP supports multiple sports including football, basketball, girls flag football, volleyball, track and field, and other emerging sports communities. The company is actively connecting with athletes, trainers, videographers, camps, tournaments, and grassroots organizations throughout Georgia and Virginia.
The TAYP mobile app is available now on iOS and Android.
