KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Michimich -- Anton Williams Holding Company of Kalamazoo and GMNF Missions are launching a new forum that examines the scholarly, congregational adherents and organizational constituents that forms a deep mass networked infrastructure that has impacted stakeholders in West Michigan but also the world
Research has begun that will examine the links between the Christian Reformed Church, Reformed Church in America and Fuller Theological Seminary particularly in the Muskegon-Grand Rapids-Holland MI metro corridor that has formed a scholarly exchange, pastoral, church and organizational network which serves to benefit all involved in unique ways.
Preliminary research has shown many significant examples of cross training of scholastic, pastoral, non profit and lay leaders that not only great benefits the institutions but enhances the churches and non profits leaders and their organizational bodies. Ties were cemented with the creation of a psychology and missions school that benefited churches and non profits in Grand Rapids in part due to a lack of these in the metro. Links were enhanced with some Grand Rapids area leaders serving on boards of trustees. A separate influential leader in Grand Rapids MI became the president of one of the seminaries that lead to a mass increase of connections and ties. Formal links such as joint research projects, cross- training, partnerships in initiatives, use of shared digital resources over the decades has created a very unique digital infrastructure with a hub in the area that serves the spokes of churches and non profits organizations throughout the region.
