DETROIT, Aug. 30, 2024 ~ In a bold move, Frank B. Rhodes, Jr., the great-grandson of Walter P. Chrysler, has sent a proposal to Stellantis, N.V. and its CEO, Carlos Tavares, expressing his desire to acquire and revitalize the iconic Chrysler/Dodge Plymouth brands. Rhodes, who has been an unofficial cheerleader and ambassador for the brand, hopes to keep the brands in the USA with American stockholders and bring back loyal buyers who have been limited to only four uninspired car models.
Rhodes' proposal can be seen in full on Mopar Insiders' website and outlines his plan to make a classic comeback for the Chrysler brands. He believes that this would not only be beneficial for America's economy but also for employees and just in time for the brand's 100th anniversary in 2025.
"I believe that my plan would allow Stellantis a graceful exit from a brand that it has no interest in keeping," said Rhodes. "I would like to see jobs saved and increased, and the iconic brands reinvigorated under true proud American ownership."
Rhodes also expressed his disappointment with Stellantis' ownership of the brand, stating that they have been steadily killing off its brands. He hopes to see a revitalization of the brands under American ownership where they belong.

In his proposal letter addressed to Tavares, Rhodes requested a confidential discussion to outline his plan further. He believes that this would be of interest not only to Stellantis but also to long-time terminated employees, creative and marketing staff, and loyal brand owners who have been eagerly waiting for this historical iconic brand's revival.
As part of his plans for revitalization, Rhodes plans to attend UAW rallies in support of re-employment for laid-off workers and promises of new models. He also hopes to lay out his vision for the company under planned American ownership.
"I cannot wait to take on the challenge and be a part of the planning for an exciting 'Chrysler 2025 Comeback' future for Chrysler/Dodge," said Rhodes. He envisions the brands being freed up and unleashed as an independent American company once again.
Rhodes can be contacted directly via email for further inquiries. With his proposal, he hopes to bring back the glory days of Chrysler and create new high-paying union jobs with exciting automobile concepts that never materialized under previous leadership.
As the great-grandson of Walter P. Chrysler, Rhodes has a deep connection to the brand and its legacy. He believes that his plan will not only benefit the company but also honor its 100-year history as a true American auto pioneer. Only time will tell if Stellantis will consider Rhodes' proposal and if it will lead to a successful revival of the iconic Chrysler/Dodge Plymouth brands.
