DETROIT, June 23, 2025 ~ The BIG3, a professional 3-on-3 basketball league, is making its way back to Detroit for an exciting event. The Detroit Amplifiers, also known as the Amps, will be hosting their first-ever home game at Little Caesars Arena on Sunday, July 20. This game is part of the BIG3's Summer in the City tour and will be nationally televised.
The Amps, led by Hall of Famer and Head Coach George "The Iceman" Gervin, have a star-studded roster featuring 7-time NBA All-Star Joe Johnson, dynamic guard Jeremy Pargo, and NCAA champion Darnell Jackson. They will be facing off against Stephen Jackson's DMV Trilogy in the third game of the event. Fans can expect four fast-paced and competitive 3-on-3 basketball games throughout the afternoon.
In addition to the on-court action, there will also be halftime performances from top musical artists and appearances by BIG3 co-founder Ice Cube and other legendary players such as Dwight Howard and Dr. J. The event promises to showcase elite competition, four-point shots, high-energy entertainment, and an unforgettable fan experience.

TJ Lang, a member of the Amps ownership group GameAbove Sports, expressed his excitement for bringing the BIG3 to Little Caesars Arena and giving Detroit fans something special to rally around. He called for the city to come out and support their team as they add to the momentum of Detroit sports.
Aside from basketball action, fans can also look forward to various fan activations, live music performances, and exclusive Amps merchandise at the event. Doors open at 2:00 PM ET with gameplay starting at 3:00 PM ET on CBS and iHeartRadio. VICE TV coverage will begin at 6:30 PM ET.
