~ Sterling Heights, MI- The city's Ethnic Community Committee is gearing up for its highly anticipated 2025 Cultural Exchange event. The event, which will take place on Friday, March 7 from 6-10 p.m. at the Community Center located at 40250 Dodge Park, aims to celebrate the diverse cultures within the city.
The public is invited and encouraged to attend this exciting event. Overflow parking will be available at City Hall and the 41A District Court for attendees' convenience.
Sponsored by the Sterling Heights Ethnic Community Committee, the Cultural Exchange will showcase a variety of ethnic music and dance performances. In addition, there will be educational and cultural displays from local groups and retailers, as well as delicious desserts, breads, and light snacks provided by city restaurateurs.

The city is currently seeking support for the event and is calling on businesses to become sponsors. Restaurateurs who are interested in donating samples of desserts, breads, or food samples are also encouraged to participate. Cultural-driven organizations are invited to have a display table at the event and dance troupes and entertainment groups are welcome to perform.
According to Abbott Basal, chairperson of the Ethnic Community Committee, "The evening is really a great chance for people of various ethnic and cultural backgrounds to celebrate their similarities more than their differences." Basal also expressed excitement for participation from the many nationalities in Sterling Heights and surrounding areas.
The Sterling Heights Ethnic Community Committee was formed in 1990 with a mission to promote understanding and improve communication among diverse races and ethnic groups within the city.
