Kitchen Chaos is an exciting new board game which features silly traps, cooking, and teamwork in a small and easy to learn package.
WESTLAND, Mich. - Michimich -- A new chaotic, competitive, cooking board game experience designed by a local Michigan game designer is coming soon to Kickstarter. Kitchen Chaos, by developer Blob World Games in Westland, MI, is a cooking themed board game which challenges two or four players to compete in a cooking competition in a tiny medieval kitchen. Players must gather ingredients, prepare dishes, and service food to customers.
Kitchen Chaos adds an element of mind games and depth to the game by adding trap cards to the game. Players can set traps at specific cooking stations to slow down their opponents, or activate special trap card abilities at just the perfect time to turn the tide of the game. The trap cards often invoke silly themes and memes, such as a pardoned turkey that pardons your opponent's ingredients, a split avocado that rejoins and causes a disturbance in the multiverse, or a farmer who takes the meaning of 'farm-to-table' too literally. Trap usage has led to very exciting moments for players as they cautiously set out into the kitchen to cook their dishes while doing their best to avoid the chaos brought on by traps.

Blob World Games brought Kitchen Chaos to new players at two large board gaming conventions in the Midwest: Origins Game Fair in Columbus, OH and Gen Con in Indianapolis, IN. Players reveled in exciting games, managing their teamwork and strategy while having a great time attempting to set and dodge traps.
Kitchen Chaos is developed by Richard Wu of Blob World Games, based in Westland, Michigan. The game was conceived in early 2023, inspired by popular cooking themed media franchises such as Overcooked, a co-op video game, and Hell's Kitchen, the reality cooking show. The game was first officially playtested at the First Exposure Playtest Hall at Gen Con 2023. Since then, the game has undergone many improvements and design upgrades, and is ready for launch. Richard, who worked in the automotive industry, created the game as a fun creative project, looking for a way to combine his passions for food and games into a fun family friendly game that can be shared with interested foodie board gamers.
